Temporary Loss

All seems now lost
Still circles have vanished
Empty rooms beckon
As the everyday is now
Waiting for high tides
To bring me free passage
Return to my dreams ?
But the question is how .

Clouds of the past drift over a moon of the present
Gentle moments remembered
As magic unfolds
Silver moonlight reflected
As memories flicker
What wouldn't I give to once again watch them unfold ?
Slow moonlight shadows drift ghost like till dawn
As shining river valleys move forever seaward bound
Too soon , but too late have I found all the answers
To feel all I wanted
But have nothing to hold .

Waning days

Yellow crescent rising soon
Loss and woe
Come too soon

Once you shone as a friend
Now you take
Never mend

Emptiness fills your beam
Feeding on our wants and dreams

It was hot . She stooped to shake his hand , bending her wire like frame . She crushed his hand . It hurt .Her hawk like features showed only formal expressions . Cold . She belonged on a battle field wielding a sword Jerry thought .
   Maybe the hand shake was an over compensation . For what he had yet to fathom . Physically she was strong . Simple conversation revealed a conventional feminine side . An intriguing combination , but hardly a case of infatuation . Jerry new the difference .
  A giver or taker of life ? The situation would be the dictator . Either way it would all be good . That was her job . That's why he'd called her . Soon she left . Only her  hawk like features remained on his mind....
  The nights were getting colder and the days were getting shorter . The first fore runners of autumn . The time was near , it was true . Or had it already past ? He hoped not .... 

I wrote this a couple of years ago . Picture is by the Spanish fantasy artist Luis Royo . I bought that a year ago . I shall be posting more of my writing soon . They are only short pieces , but that's all they needed to be at the time . Most of them are in the style of Jerry Cornelious the character invented by Micheal Moorcock , hence the straight to the point style in short bursts .
